Site Loads 8/23/2020
Good morning, Yesterday afternoon we started experiencing slow webpage loads and we immediately began looking into the issue. By the evening as traffic increased, websites were intermittent between being slow to completely down for a period of time. While our outage earlier this month was due to the DDOS attack, this one appears to have been a biproduct of those attacks. The issue was related to the SSL Certifications we provide free to our clients. The SSL Certificate is what provides the secure
Websites Are Up!!!
Good morning, I am happy to report that we have successfully resolved the Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack, that hit us on Monday & have been 100% stable for over 48 hours. To better explain what a DDOS attack is, here’s a link that provides a great explanation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhA9PAfkJ10 We have implemented a major security change that you need to be aware of. Going forward, Gabbart is a North American (USA, Mexico, and Canada) web hosting company and have created
Websites Are Down
Our web servers are under attack again. We've identified dozens of IP addresses that are part of the attack and are contacting ISP and attempting to mitigate this attack. I apologize for being down. As a reference, we deliver more than 14 million web pages per day to our schools utilizing only 20-25% of our capacity. The attack from last Thursday and today are exceeding 125% of capacity. We have contacted the FBI and have yet to hear back from them. A full investigation will be forthcoming.

Social Media
Hello Gabbart Family! We wanted to reach out and give you an update regarding social media and why you may be experiencing some issues when you try to post to Facebook. Facebook recently updated their API without informing their users which has caused our integration to falter. We are working hard to update our system for a more streamlined social media integration that will work with the new API and give you a more user-friendly experience as well. We will be reaching out to everyone as soon as
Student and Teacher Communication
In Texas, we have laws that state we cannot have two way communication outside of school between students and teachers without parents and administrators being on the electronic message. We would like a way in E-Notes to have two way communication that will track and log the conversation. This would enable districts to have current communication logs in case they are ever needed for legal purposes. It would also eliminate our administrators and educators from having to keep the logs in case a legal
Twitter Share
On our Twitter sharing, with a picture, it posts a tiny URL instead of the actual post/article. The post is short enough to meet Twitter guidelines. Is there a way to post the article instead of a link from Tiny URL?
Confirm close tab when in text editor
I'd like to request a confirmation pop-up that appears if you try to navigate away from a page or close a tab when you have unsaved changes in the text editor mode. I accidentally lost 25 minutes of work because I misclicked. I know I should have been saving a little more often, but it might help out in the future to have this feature.
Auto-logout timer, is there a way to extend or disable this?
Is there a way to change the time it takes before the system automatically logs you out? I was working on a page in the text editor and had to go take care of something, when I came back the system had kicked me out and my work between last save and on-call was lost.

ATTENTION: The ExamView Page type is going away. We will not be removing any existing ExamView page but you will no longer be able to choose ExamView as a page type in the future. We have had to remove this page option because our sites are secure and the ExamView test submissions are going to an unsecured site. Today's modern browsers will not allow a secure site to connect to an unsecured site. We have spoken with ExamView and their parent company and, as of right now, they have no plans to correct

Adding Slideshows
When you're adding a slideshow to a page make sure you add the picture to a Photo ALBUM page type and not a Folder in the File Cabinet. Once you've created the photo album and added the pages it is as simple as "inserting" the slide show using the text editor.
